Clackamas Community College is accepting applications for three community representatives to serve on its Budget Committee. The budget committee includes the seven members of the CCC Board of Education and seven volunteers appointed by the board for three-year terms.
Budget committee members represent each of the college’s seven zones. Openings are available in Zone 1 (Milwaukie), Zone 5 (West Linn/Wilsonville) and Zone 6 (Estacada/Colton/Molalla/Canby). The successful applicants will serve through June 30, 2029.
Budget Committee members review the college’s proposed budget, hear comments from community members and approve the budget before it is forwarded to the CCC Board of Education for adoption each June. The committee typically holds two meetings in May, with additional meetings scheduled as needed.
Applicants must be registered voters who reside within the boundaries of the zone for which they are applying. College employees are not eligible to serve. Applicants should review the college district map to confirm their zone before applying.
Completed applications must be received by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24. Applications may be emailed to kattie.riggs@clackamas.edu or sent to Clackamas Community College, Attn: Kattie Riggs, Roger Rook Hall, 19600 Molalla Avenue, Oregon City, OR 97045.
