Alliance Charter Academy
High school students have the opportunity to take college course work and earn college credit through High School Connections programs offered through CCC and their high school. Below are the programs available at your high school as well as more information about how to get started.
All students participating in High School Connections programming must have a CCC account. Students can complete the appropriate application on the registration page to create an account prior to registering for college credit.
Expanded Options
The Expanded Options program — sometimes called Early College — gives high school students the opportunity to take CCC classes on campus or online as part of their high school schedule. Approved Expanded Options courses are paid for by the student’s high school or school district, though coverage amounts vary by school. The school district or high school will only be billed for approved courses listed on the Participation Authorization Form. Most students take CCC classes that count toward both high school graduation requirements and a college degree or certificate.
Students in the Expanded Options program are expected to follow the CCC Academic Calendar and should work closely with their high school counselor and CCC advisor to stay on top of important dates and deadlines.
To participate:
- Meet with your high school counselor to complete the Participation Authorization Form.
- Your counselor will send the completed form to CCC.
- Once approved, meet with the CCC Expanded Options advisor to choose and register for classes.
