The English department strives to give students opportunities for real-world experience. In addition to a wide range of writing and literature courses, the English department offers two kinds of transfer degrees: an Associate of Arts in English Literature and Associate of Science transfer degrees with an emphasis in English. Students have the chance to work as peer mentors in the Writing Center, edit and produce The Clackamas Literary Review, and help plan CCC's annual creative writing conference, Compose.
Additional academic resources include Testing and Placement Services and Placement Advising for Student Success (PASS).
