Your next steps
Your student email is the college's primary means of communicating information (deadlines, billing, financial aid, waitlists, etc.). You can check your @student.clackamas.edu email in myClackamas or download the Microsoft Outlook App.
Get the Microsoft Outlook app:
- For iPhone in the App Store
- for Android in the Google Play Store
Confirm you are registered for classes by checking your class schedule in Self Service Student Planning. Check dates, times, and campus location (if you have in-person classes).
CCC's First-Year Experience 101 is a two-credit course designed to help students who are new to college transition smoothly and succeed academically. Students that take FYE 101 are more likely to graduate on time, get better grades and build stronger relationships with their peers and faculty.
Check the Schedule of Classes to find out when First Year Experience 101 is offered. You can contact your advisor to see if this class will fit with your degree/certificate requirements.
Moodle is the online platform for classes. Not familiar with Moodle? Check out Moodle 101, our orientation for online learning. You can access Moodle via myClackamas or download the Moodle app.
Using the Moodle App
Download the Moodle official mobile app developed by Moodle Pty Ltd.
- iPhone in the App Store
- Android in the Google Play Store
After the app is downloaded:
- Enter your site: online.clackamas.edu
- Click on Connect to your site
- Click the orange Log in button
- Enter your CCC credentials (full student email address and password)
- Click the blue Sign in button to access your Moodle Dashboard
Note: Your course will not appear in Moodle until the first day of the term.
If you have any questions about online learning and the mobile app, email online@clackamas.edu.
Financial Aid will contact you via your student email you when your award offer is ready. Check the status of your financial aid award in Self Service Financial Aid or contact Financial Aid if you have questions.
If you are on a waitlist for a class, check your CCC student email daily. If a spot opens up, you will get a notification to your @student.clackamas.edu email with the subject: "Waitlist Invitation." You will have 48 hours from the time the email was sent to register for the class.
Caution: If you do not register for the class within 48 hours, the next student on the list will be contacted.
The waitlist process stops the Friday before the term begins. After that, you will need to contact the instructor directly to see if there is space available in the class. If you are given permission to register, you can forward the instructor's email to registration@clackamas.edu to get registered.
Click on your courses in Self Service to find your required textbooks. If you have accepted your Financial Aid award and if you have money left over after tuition and fees, you can charge textbooks and supplies to your student account at the bookstore one week before the start of the term through the last business day of the second week of term. Learn more about charging books to your student on CCC's Financial Aid and Scholarships webpage.
Look at our Academic Calendar to keep in mind important dates such as deadlines to drop a class or when to register for the upcoming term.
Attend all of your classes the first week or your instructor may withdraw you from the class if you don’t show up for the first class meeting or if you don't participate in your online class by the beginning of the second week.
To start your online class, log into Moodle on the first day of the term (Note: your classes will not appear in Moodle until the first day of the term).
To view your account balance, go to the Payment & Finances tab in myClackamas. Pay by the deadline to avoid fees. If you qualify and have accepted your financial aid award, disbursement of funds to student’s account will begin during week three of the term.
If you are not using financial aid, learn about payment options.
Consider applying for a compensated position on campus.
Use Navigate to schedule appointments with your advisor at any time during the term. Meet with your advisor at least twice a year to stay on track for graduation.
