Study Abroad
Expand your horizons and immerse yourself in a different culture through a study abroad trip at CCC. Study abroad programs at CCC take learning beyond the classroom, offering memorable experiences and one-of-a-kind opportunities to explore a subject and enrich your education. You can even earn college credit while you travel!
Our goal is to facilitate quality global learning experiences for our college community. CCC supports international travel for learning that strengthens the fulfillment of the college’s mission which includes providing high-quality education and training that is adaptable to changing needs while valuing diversity, empathy and respect. Our study abroad student learning outcomes further support this mission by providing the following:
- Experiences of different cultures and perspectives
- Exploration of opportunities for cultural exchange
- Communication to the college community and beyond about globalization and its effects.
Study abroad in Ireland (Dec. 7-19, 2022)
Take your education beyond the classroom walls and gain a genuine experience of learning and exploring. Apply your learning while immersing yourself in the culture and wonders of Ireland. Clackamas Community College now offers classes that end with a two-week study abroad trip in Ireland.
This experience is offered through Institute of Study Abroad Ireland. The program offers a socio-historical context of the culture of Ireland from pre-Christian to modern times. Explore folklore and superstition, death and rituals of dying, famine and migration, health care, science and religion. Field trips will be integrated with the class teaching to reinforce the learning outcomes.

The trip costs approximately $3,600 (includes shared accommodations, some meals and transportation, excursions and cultural activities & estimated airfare)
Other costs include:
- Travel and medical insurance
- Personal expenses and shopping
- Passport fees
- CCC class tuition is separate from program and trip fees

- You must have a valid passport
- All participants must be fully vaccinated
- To earn college credit for the trip, register for one or more of the following classes at CCC: BI-165C, CH-114, COMM-218, SOC-206
Study Abroad in France (Summer 2023)
Immerse yourself in French language and culture over the summer through the France study abroad program at CCC. You will study at the Centre d’Études Françaises at the University of Perpignan-Via Domitia in Perpignan in southern France. You can earn college credit on this trip or join for personal enrichment.
Study Abroad in France (June 16-July 4, 2022)
- Opportunities for language and cultural immersion
- Access to university resources, library, media center and tutoring
- Guided excursions and cultural activities in southern France and on the Mediterranean coast
- Two trips in one! In addition to France, you will have the opportunity to visit Barcelona, Spain
The trip costs approximately $4,500 (includes shared accommodations, some meals and transportation, excursions and cultural activities and estimated airfare)
Other costs include:

- Personal expenses and shopping
- Passport fees
- CCC class tuition is separate from program and trip fees
